The first days with a new baby are unlike anything else.
Everything feels new. Time moves strangely. Sleep is scarce. Emotions run deep.
And before you know it, the tiny stretches, curled-up fingers, sleepy yawns, and first introductions begin to change.
Fresh 48 and newborn sessions focus on preserving these early memories honestly and gently—not through elaborate posing, but by documenting the connection, wonder, and love that already exist.

What's the difference?
Captured within the first 48 hours after birth.

Why these photos matter
Many parents tell me they barely remember those first weeks.
The days are full, the nights are long, and everything changes so quickly.
Photographs become a way of returning to those moments.
Not just to remember what your baby looked like, but to remember how it felt to hold them, care for them, and begin discovering who they were becoming.

FAQ
When should Fresh 48 photos be taken?
Fresh 48 sessions typically take place within the first 24–72 hours after birth, though there is flexibility depending on your family's needs. I reserve your due date on my calendar and we finalize the session timing once your baby arrives.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
Babies rarely follow schedules! When you book, I keep your due date in mind and leave room in my calendar around that time. Simply let me know when labour begins or after your baby arrives, and we'll arrange a session that works for everyone.
Do I need to clean or prepare anything?
Not at all. Fresh 48 sessions are about documenting this season exactly as it is. There is no need for a spotless room, coordinated outfits, or elaborate preparation. The focus is on your connection with your new baby.
What should we wear?
Simple, comfortable clothing photographs beautifully. Neutral tones, soft textures, and clothing you feel good in are always a great choice. Most importantly, wear something that allows you to relax and focus on your baby.
What if I'm exhausted or don't feel camera-ready??
Every new parent feels this way. These photographs are not about looking perfect—they're about remembering. Years from now, you'll notice the way you held your baby, the wonder in your eyes, and the love that filled the room far more than whether your hair was perfectly styled.
